The truly spectacular Bombay Bicycle Club have announced details of third album ‘A Different Kind of Fix’ (PRE-ORDER), due for release on August 29th through Island Records.

Remarkably, ‘A Different Kind of Fix’ will mark the band’s third album in three years – something quite unusual in today’s ever-changing music industry landscape. From their stunning debut ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’ to their folk-infused and Ivor Novello Award-nominated ‘Flaws’ last summer, Bombay Bicycle Club are a band that are continuously going from strength to strength.

Prior to the release of the album, new single ‘Shuffle’ is available to buy now. It can also be streamed through SoundCloud below, and it’s pretty damn good.

The phenomenal Laura Marling has announced details of her forthcoming third album, which will be released on 12 September through Virgin Records. The album, titled ‘A Creature I Don’t Know’, has been produced by the amazing Ethan Johns (his credits include Kings Of Leon, Ryan Adams, Ray LaMontagne and Emmylou Harris, as well as Marling’s critically acclaimed second album ‘I Speak Because I Can’).

Having already won a BRIT Award and an NME Award this year, not to mention Mercury and BBC Folk Award nominations, the year looks set to be Ms. Marling’s biggest yet.

Prior to the album’s release, Laura plays Green Man, Cambridge Folk and End of the Road Festival (The Blue Walrus will be at all of these, so you can bet we won’t stop talking about Laura Marling this summer) amongst others this summer and will tour the Scottish Highlands at the end of July.

A beautiful preview of the new album is viewable below.

They make dirty bluegrass, are perhaps beggars in their spare time, and are definitely rather good. The Dirty Beggars have been rising on the Scottish music scene over the past twelve months, evidenced by everything from shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Celtic Connections to support slots with Orange Unsigned winner Tommy Reilly.

This summer, they visit England for a small series of performances in and around London – and I’m expecting foot-stomping hoedowns for the entirety of their stay, the dates of which are listed below.
