Just as I was talking about Fischerspooner yesterday, this filthy little electro house remix from Villains has been been climbing the Beatport charts. And fuck me, Villains have never disappointed me on dropping banger after banger.

Villains aren’t the only ones on remix duty for Infidels Of The World Unite though, Dim Mak have got all their bases covered with others from Shinichi Osawa, Gooseflesh, LA Riots, Mustard Pimp, and Rynecologist.

Casey Spooner might be better known as one half of electroclash outfit Fischerspooner (Emerge is still fucking amazing even if it’s a decade old so I’ve embedded the video below), but right now he’s got a solo album out by the name of Adult Contemporary on Molitor Records.

Spanish Teenager is the latest single to be released from the album, and far from his electropop roots, this one is a 60s-influenced psychedelic indie-pop. Acid Washed have taken on those electropop roots though, and we’ve got a spacey number from them for free download below alongside the more glitchy house affair from Derrick Carter.

Simplicity and repetition are the hallmarks of Liverpool’s Bird (Facebook). Simple rhythms, Leonard Cohen-esque nostalgic melancholy and a voice in 22 year old Adele Emmas (no not that Adele) that brings a haunting depth to each of two songs I can currently find.

The songs build, they float on her voice with violins and sweeping percussion sculpting an almost medieval sinister bleakness.
