Back in the game

2 June 2009 3 Comments

Phew…right…well that was a very long six weeks for me doing law exams. Luckily Lauren was on hand to take up the slack at Walrus Towers, so a massive thank you is due there.

We’ve also added a new member to the team in the form of Tom who has started off with a couple of fantastic interviews with Digitalism and Metric.

I’m now back on hand listening/reading/reviewing as I should be, and have a boatload of new music to post over the next week or two. Think mixtapes galore coming your way.

sonyAs a bit of news about TBW and to keep everything out in the open, just before my prolonged silence I had a meeting with a few guys and girls from Sony (Columbia/RCA/etc) and Jamila (Fucking Dance), Matthew (Song, by Toad) and Brendan (Winston’s Zen).  I won’t go into the details here as I share most of Matthew’s sentiments in his post on the subject and the comments make for some interesting reading.

Now I have a massive backlog of music to traul through. Apologies on the delays and unresponsiveness to everyone who has sent me stuff. I am now going through it all, but if you want to resend it as a reminder it will give me a good kick up the arse to give it a proper listen and make sure I didn’t miss it the first time.

…I am, well, back in the game
