Blue Christmas II

UPDATE 01/12/2008If you are looking for indie Christmas music for this year, please take a look at Blue Christmas 2008

Yes it’s been far, far too long – I could try and make excuses, but 6 weeks is too long for that and it has as much to do with my winter laziness as some essay deadlines and one long drunk bender…

Anyway, last year I made my first mix for the Blue Walrus as a Christmas mix of my favourite well-known festive songs to get through the season. This year I have done something a little different by putting together a two disc set of Christmas tunes ranging from jazz-style classics to some 60s fun to some more modern stuff. Last year this blog was only read by some friends and family so I could get away with posting pretty much what I liked, but more readers means more trouble and so the standard commercial Christmas tunes aren’t in here – but there is plenty less known awesomeness and it will give you all a break from the generic radio playlists.

If you are looking for some more great Christmas music take a look at The Best Kids Christmas Album in the World Ever and Peace on Earth, both giving their proceeds to worthy charities.

So, without further ado, here is Blue Christmas II:
